Speculative Risks involves both the possibility of gain and the possibility of loss. It arises due to changes in market conditions whereas unfavorable ones may result in losses. It is to be noted that pure risks can be insured, speculative risks should be managed by means of financial derivatives, forward trading, and such other financial tools and measures.
